Britney Spears‘ ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib has been sentenced to 45 days behind bars following his altercation with a process server earlier this year.

Ghalib was accused of running over Ram Moskowitz in February as he tried to hand the British paparazzo legal papers relating to the singer’s 2008 conservatorship case. He initially pleaded not guilty to one count of felony assault with a deadly weapon, but struck a plea deal with prosecutors last month which saw him plead no contest to the lesser charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

The two other charges for battery and felony assault were dismissed as part of the agreement. Ghalib returned to a Los Angeles court on Friday where he was officially handed his punishment, reports TMZ.com.

He will spend 44 days in a county prison cell after being given one day’s credit for time already served.

The snapper has also been given 36 months probation and must complete a year-long anger management course and 45 days of hard labor.
