Brooke Shields was shaking throughout her moving speech at Michael Jackson’s memorial – because she imagined the late superstar would jump out of his coffin and perform a concert.

The actress, who dated Jackson in her teens, was one of the many celebrities who paid tribute to the King of Pop at his Los Angeles send-off in July.

She emotionally honored the late “Thriller” hit-maker at the event, branding the shy star her “little prince”, while recalling how much fun the pair had as young pals.

But Shields has revealed her tear-filled tribute wasn’t all down to losing her friend – she couldn’t stop herself from fantasizing about Jackson emerging from his coffin.

She tells Access Hollywood, “Did you see me shaking? They didn’t tell us that the coffin was going to be there.

“I thought – because there was a fantasy moment in my head – that he was going to jump out and start the concert.

“I felt honored to be a part of it. I hope I did a good job. I tried.”
