According to reports, a custody battle between Bristol Palin’s and Levi Johnston’s son Tripp is being made public by order of Alaska Superior Court. The request to keep their battle out of the public eye was denied because “Bristol Palin did not provide enough evidence that their son would be harmed by the publicity,” reported the Anchorage Daily News.

Bristol Palin wants sole custody of their son where the father Johnston is petitioning for shared custody. Johnston is also happy the matter is being made public because of the boy’s powerful grandmother, Sarah Palin, former Vice Presidential Candidate & Alaskan Governor.

“I know that public scrutiny will simplify this matter and act as a check against anyone’s need to be overly vindictive, aggressive or malicious, not that Bristol would ever be that way, nor that I would, but her mother is powerful, politically ambitious and has a reputation for being extremely vindictive.” stated Johnston.
