Mariah Carey kisses husband Nick Cannon after performing on NBC’s “Today” show in New York City this morning.

Nick has stirred up his feud with Eminem by telling the rapper he’s lucky the two haven’t met. Mariah’s husband told In Touch, “He’s lucky I haven’t run into him yet. I’m supposed to protect my woman if someone can be so heinous and disrespectful. Until we speak, I don’t respect him as a man. He and I need to have an old-school sit-down.”

Eminem upset Nick with comments he made about him in the lyrics of his “Bagpipes From Baghdad” track, suggesting he still had feelings for Carey.

Meanwhile, Mariah never thought she’d live to see her 40th birthday. Meeting Nick made her stop thinking so negatively. She explains, “He was like, ‘Stop talking like that.’ I have been obsessed with the whole Marilyn Monroe thing my whole life – all those artists who died young.”
