The actor and Italian girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis arrived at Lido and Cipriani’s hotel in Venice via helicopter on Monday, before being whisked away by boat.

Georgie – whose poorly wrist is currently bandaged – is in the Italian city for the 66th Venice International Film Festival, where he is promoting new movie The Men Who Stare At Goats.

George Clooney has a new lady in his life: 30 year-old Italian beauty Elisabetta Canalis. The star of the upcoming movie The Men Who Stare At Goats brought along his new girlfriend to the premiere. Photos of the couple have been hitting the internet, and they certainly do make a lovely pair!

Clooney has known the actress, model, and TV host for several years. His last long-term girlfriend was Sarah Larson (and it’s clear from the photos of Canalis that Clooney has a type!). Clooney and Canalis have spent time together at his Lake Como villa and have been snapped several times boating on the lake. The premiere, however, marks the first time the pair have gone public with their romance.

Clooney has remained notoriously single, never staying in a relationship for long. Could Elisabetta Canalis be the woman who finally convinces Clooney it’s time to settle down?
