Chuck Wicks stepped out with girlfriend Julianne Hough at the Country Music Awards on Wednesday night – but remained coy about their rumored split.

The couple is said to have called off their relationship earlier this month, after more than a year of dating. Wicks refused to confirm or deny the reports at the annual ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee, but revealed he and professional dancer Hough are planning to release a joint statement about the state of their union.

He tells ETOnline, “Obviously there’s been a lot of rumors about Julianne and I and our break-up and what’s going on with that, but tonight is about the music.”

“Julianne and I are going to address what’s going on in our personal life together. I think that’s the only right way to do it and we’ll make a statement on that. Julianne is actually my date tonight, so it’s all good, man. We’re going to have a good time and we will address it together, but right now we’re going to have a lot of fun.”
