The Sex and the City movie sequel is slated for a May 28, 2010 release.

But New York City onlookers were taken back to the 1980s this week, as shooting on the film got underway and two of its main stars were spotted in hairstyles neither would be caught dead in these days.

Indeed, Sarah Jessica Parker (as Carrie Bradshaw) and Kim Cattrall (as Samantha Jones) wandered around NYC in outfits that would make Lady GaGa blush. Check out the actresses below:

While we aren’t privy to any inside information regarding these outfits, a few Sex and the City spoilers have been leaked online. Among other developments, they reveal that Carrie and Big will be victims of the economic downturn; and Samantha will return to Smith.
