Burt Reynolds Released From Rehab

Hollywood icon Burt Reynolds has been discharged from a drug rehabilitation center following treatment for his addiction to painkillers. The 73-year-old actor was admitted to the Hanley Center in Florida last month after a nasty fall at his waterfront mansion in Hobe Sound led him to realize he’d become “a prisoner of prescription pain pills.” According to the National Enquirer , the Smokey and the Bandit star agreed to undergo detox and a 30-day rehab program after doctors raised fears for his mental health in the aftermath of the accident

Barbra Streisand Caught Up In Pet Contest Scandal

Barbra Streisand has been left baffled after fans accused her of rigging a “cute pet” competition so her friend could win a prize to watch her in concert. The veteran singer is due to play at notorious jazz venue Village Vanguard in New York on September 26th- 48 years after she appeared there to open for legendary musician Miles Davis . Two tickets for the gig were put up as top prize in a dog contest – which Streisand’s friend Marilyn Smart’s pooch Dina won on Monday
